Drifting Wines is a contemporary California wine brand inspired by the relaxed spirit and exceptional vineyard resources of the Lodi AVA, one of the state's most dynamic wine regions. Situated between the San Francisco Bay and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Lodi benefits from a warm Mediterranean climate moderated by cooling breezes from the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta, allowing grapes to ripen fully while retaining freshness and balance.

Rather than drawing on a long family history, Drifting was created around the vision of crafting approachable, fruit-driven wines that capture the carefree feeling of wandering through Lodi's vineyards. The brand was established by winemaker Steven M., whose first encounter with the region's sandy loam soils and old-vine vineyards inspired the concept behind the label. Produced by Ironstone Vineyards, Drifting celebrates Lodi's reputation for sustainable viticulture and its community of multi-generational growers.

The range focuses on classic Californian varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Old Vine Zinfandel. The wines are made in an easy-drinking, fruit-forward style that highlights the purity of Lodi fruit, offering generous flavours, soft tannins and broad appeal while showcasing the quality and diversity for which the region has become increasingly recognised.
