Tasting Note

This Rosso di Montalcino is an explosion of fresh red fruits and floral notes on the nose. On the palate, it has a great structure with polished tannins and a crunchy acidity.

Product Notes

Fossacolle Rosso di Montalcino is an exquisite libation hailing from Tuscany's verdant vineyards in Italy. The wine offers an enticing amalgamation of cherries, blackberries and exotic spices on the nose. This body is full, spacious, with lively acidity, leaving a graceful impression of balanced flavours. On the palate, the wine radiates a rich, velvety texture underpinned by robust tannins, leading to a lingering finish. This splendid Tuscan wine sings beautifully with red meat dishes, offering an invigorating dance between the sanguine flavours of the meat and the fruity notes of the wine. Fossacolle Rosso di Montalcino is an artisanal gem; a delightful treat for any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Fossacolle

The Fossacolle estate, in the south of Montalcino, comprises four hectares of vineyards of which 2.5 are destined for Brunello. Such is the quality of the vineyards that winemaker Adriano Bambagioni has been able to produce wines which have won numerous accolades over the years. Adriano honed his craft over 10 years working with Giacomo Tachis, the famed oenologist responsible for producing the first Super Tuscan wines. The estate has been owned by the Marchetti family, Adriano’s in-laws, since the 1700s and Adriano’s son, Stefano, now works alongside him.
