Tasting Note

Thanks to its delicate tannins, the Barolo del Comune di Barolo has a more immediate approach then the single vineyard. It’s ideal for a shorter ageing than Sarmassa Vigna Merenda, but it always confirms the traditional expression of the winery’s style.

Product Notes

The Scarzello Barolo DOCG del Comune di Barolo wine is a captivating example of Italy's manifestation of fine winemaking. This ruby-red beauty emanates bold aromas of blackberry, forest floor, and spice embraced with the elegance of floral undertones. Matured for 24 months in oak barrels, it offers extraordinary complexity on the palate. Expressive notes of ripe red fruit harmonise exquisitely with crunchy tannins and a hint of minerality, culminating in a persistent, balanced finish. An extraordinary companion to game meat, this wine is a true testimony to Scarzello's commitment to preserving Langhe’s winemaking traditions.
