Product Notes

Chamonix Greywacke Pinotage, a stunning wine from the Cape Winelands, South Africa, is an exquisite blend of complexity and sophistication. With an intense ruby hue, it exudes a bouquet of ripe fruits and subtle spice. Each sip uncovers an intricate palette of blackberries, plums, and liquorice, underpinned by a hint of aromatic cloves and smooth vanilla. The wine impresses with structured tannins and a drawn-out finish, orchestrating a pleasing symphony of flavours. Perfect for discerning oenophiles and collectors alike, this Pinotage is indeed an eloquent homage to South Africa’s indigenous grape.

Tasting Notes

The Greywacke Pinotage has a deep garnet red colour with tinges of dark violet when young. The bouquet is complex with scents recalling wild berries, spice and cherries. On the palate the wine shows full body and rich dark chocolate with fruit flavours, balanced elegantly by tannins, with a long and lingering finish that reveals a sweetness reminiscent of liquorice.
