Product Notes

The Chamonix Troika Reserve wine is an exquisite manifestation of Franschhoek Valley's terroir. This Bordeaux blend is an enticing symphony of bold Cabernet Franc and softer Cabernet Sauvignon, tempered with a smattering of Merlot. The wine boasts an elegant, deep ruby hue, exuding opulent notes of ripe blackberries, red cherries, and spicy undertones. Careful ageing in French oak barrels imbues Troika Reserve with complex tannins, lending a velvety texture alongside a lingering hint of savoury leather. An indulgent firm finish, balanced acidity and expressive fruit participate in a harmonious dance making this wine region's pièce de résistance.

Tasting Notes

The Chamonix Troika has a deep ruby-mulberry colour on release, with scents that recall vanilla, sweet ripe cherries, blackberries and other spices. The wine is well structured; full, round and smooth on the palate with rich fruit and berry sensations, fine harmony and length of flavour. Although impressive when young, it should reach a prime at 10-15 years
