Tasting Note

Pale amber-pink in colour, with an expressive nose of fresh red berries, peach and orange peel, complemented by white flowers, dried citrus and gentle spice. The palate is juicy and energetic, with bright, crunchy acidity, subtle citrus notes and a lightly tannic texture from extended skin contact. Delicate almond and smoky nuances add complexity, while a slight natural spritz brings extra freshness and tension. Dry, savoury and characterful, with a long, tangy and refreshing finish.

About the Winery

Alonso & Pedrajo represents a new generation of Rioja producers, combining the region’s long tradition of extended ageing with a more adventurous, low-intervention approach to winemaking. Based in Villalba de Rioja, beneath the Montes Obarenes in the north-western corner of Rioja Alta, this small family project produces distinctive wines with a strong emphasis on vineyard origin, texture and individuality.
