Tasting Note

A savoury expression of Assyrtiko with this delicate skin contact wine. Herbal notes of chamomile, peppermint, black tea and spices of cardamom and coriander. Structured and generous mouthfeel with firm tannins balanced by the richness and the volume of the wine. Persistent finish with salinity and spicy hints.

Product Notes

Artemis Karamolegos Mystirio wine is a fascinating blend from the Greek island of Santorini. It features a vivacious composition of Assyrtiko, Athiri, and Aidani white grapes, skilfully woven together to create a rich and complex flavour profile. One is greeted with delightful notes of citrus, melon, and tropical fruits, gracefully balanced with a crisp acidity and rounded minerality. Its elegant floral hints and nutty undertones promise a lingering, satisfying finish. Staying true to its namesake 'Mystirio', meaning 'mystery', this wine unveils a unique sensory journey with every sip, making it an intriguing addition to any top-tier wine collection.

About the Winery

Artemis Karamolegos

Artemis Karamolegos Winery is a continuation of the Artemis’s family tradition that started almost a century ago with the cultivation of local produce, Assyrtiko in particular, in Santorini. The first canava* was created by his grandfather in 1952 with the purpose of producing wine for home consumption. It was, however, Artemis’ innate love for the Santorini land and quest for preserving Santorini’s heritage, that realized in 2003 with the creation of his first wine at the premises of his new winery in Exo Gonia.
