Tasting Note

This dry, full-bodied red blend offers a balanced fusion of black fruit and a savoury edge of cigar. Our winemakers have aged each component in oak barrels to produce a soft mouth-feel and juicy, lingering finish that will leave you wanting more. It is youthful and vibrant, with enough depth to hold its own when savoured with slow-cooked game or oxtail stew, barbecued boerewors, fire-grilled lamb chops with rosemary or lightly spiced pulled pork.

Product Notes

Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend wine is an exquisite South African classic that boasts a rich melange of robust flavours. Harmoniously blended, this wine combines varieties such as Shiraz, Merlot, and Malbec, offering deep berry flavours with overt notes of dark chocolate and spice. Fragrant, voluptuous, and full-bodied, each sip delivers a layered complexity. The nuanced tannins contribute to a lingering finish, making it a perfect pair for hearty cuisines. Babylonstoren vividly captures the essence of the Cape Winelands, promising a sophisticated drinking experience that every wine aficionado will relish.
