Product Notes

Borgo del Tiglio Sauvignon Blanc is a celebrated wine from Friuli, Italy. It captivates with its luscious notes of ripe tropical fruit like punchy pineapple, sweet honeydew melon, zesty citrus, and a tantalising whisper of fresh herbs. This wine exudes a warm hue and profound clarity. A complex palate captures the essence of the chalky limestone soil, providing an engaging minerality. Fully-rounded, yet crisp acidity provides delightful balance. Aged to perfection, this Sauvignon Blanc appeals through its surprisingly soft tannins and lasting finish. Undeniably exquisite, it's a brilliant choice for special occasions or relaxed evenings alike.

Tasting Notes

The wine has a unique character compared to other types of Sauvignon; this is probably due to the different genetics of the grapevine. When the wine is young the aroma is of white pulp fruit, mainly peach, fragrance that tends towards spicier tones such as blackcurrant. With aging it tends towards more mineral tones. It shows great aging potential.
