Taste Profile
Tasting Note
The Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, re-tasted in January 2025, shows all the richness and opulence of the wine when it was first released. While the vibrancy of the fruit is still very evident, the wine has developed a compelling black olive salty savouriness. The palate is chalky with a ripe fruit presence and lingering finish. The tannins are silky, seamless and perfectly integrated. This is an extraordinary wine, full of dichotomies. Complex while approachable, savoury with sweet ripe fruit, incredibly drinkable now but will reward those with patience. - Sandy Harper
Product Notes
Produced in South Africa's rugged Cederberg region, Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon wine boasts a robust, complex profile. This red varietal introduces an intensity on the palate; a fusion of ripe berries, dark chocolate, and oak spice, balanced by firm tannins. Its deep ruby hue hints towards the concentrated flavours that unfold with every sip. Matured in French oak barrels, it has an imposing structure with notable ageing potential. This bottle serves as an exemplar of the beautiful, unabridged translation between terroir and grape. Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon offers a superb accompaniment to hearty dishes like slow-roasted lamb or venison.
