Tasting Note

Golden yellow in colour, the nose is complex and exotic with baked apple, orange peel, spices, and waxy notes. The palate is fresh, with mild tannins and a strong umami quality, finishing with great length and pleasant bite.

Product Notes

Costers del Priorat Blanc de Closos Velles Vinyes wine is an exceptional bottle originating from Spain's renowned Priorat region. This white wine elegantly blends traditional Grenache and Macabeu grapes harvested from old vines, producing a flavour deeply nuanced by the expressive terroir. This wine presents a beautiful straw-yellow hue, a compelling nose of white flowers, fresh fruit, and light touch of herbs which crescendos into a palate of citrus flavours. A minerality picks up on the finish, giving it a refreshing, clean end. Best consumed in its youth to appreciate its undeniable freshness, it's an ideal companion to seafood dishes.

About the Winery

Costers del Priorat is a boutique winery located in the heart of Spain’s renowned DOQ Priorat region in Catalonia, near the village of El Molar. Founded in 2000 by a group of experienced winegrowers and wine entrepreneurs including Enric Solé, Pau Urgell, Josep Massana, Marc Massana and Josep Ramon Sedó, the project was created to capture the rugged character and diversity of Priorat’s dramatic slate-soil vineyards.
