About the Winery

Fantini Farnese

Fantini Farnese winery is a gem in the heart of Italy’s illustrious winemaking region. Nestled in the lush, verdant hills of Abruzzo, the winery is renowned for producing some of the country’s most beloved wines. It's a place that truly showcases its unique terroir and commitment to craftsmanship.

The winery was established in 2003 by a group of six winemakers, who shared a passion for the art and science behind winemaking. Their common philosophy and goal was to combine traditional viticulture methods with modern winemaking techniques. Ever since, they have continually pushed boundaries and set new standards for Italian wines.

At the heart of Fantini Farnese’s production are the native grapes of Abruzzo: Montepulciano and Trebbiano. These contribute to the winery’s two flagship wines, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo. Beyond these, however, the winery has an expansive portfolio, including international varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, to name but two.

Despite its somewhat modern inception the winery operates with profound reverence for tradition and the environment. In fact, the winery’s approach to viticulture is fundamentally organic and ecologically sustainable. This is mirrored in everything from te cultivation practices, which refuse to utilise chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. The ethos truly is ‘hands-on’, with a clear focus on letting the wine express its natural origins and character.

Visitors to Fantini Farnese can look forward to an exclusive experience that is warmly hospitable. Offering wine tastings, cellar tours and exquisite Italian meals, it is place that offers not only a chance to sample some of the finest Italian wines, but to experience every facet of the winemaking process,

In it's relatively short history, Fantini Farnese winery has managed to establish itself as a favorite among wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike. It continues to dedicate itself to crafting exquisite wines that showcase the rich viticultural heritage of the Abruzzo region, earning it a distinguished reputation on the international wine stage.
