Product Notes

François Chidaine Les Tuffeaux wine, produced by a revered biodynamic winemaker, is a captivating Loire Valley white that strikes a fabled balance. The Chenin Blanc grapes contribute to the light gold hue, enticing aromas of ripe orchard fruits, and honeyed undertones. On taste, it unveils layers of quince, pear, and subtle spices, reinforced by a minerality derived from the renowned tuffeaux soil. Its well-structured acidity is perfectly integrated with the wine's depth and complexity, leading to a natural persistent finish. This wine radiates the unique essence of Montlouis-sur-Loire, proving an unforgettable drinking experience. Enjoy chilled with seafood or creamy dishes.

About the Winery

François Chidaine

Nestled on the south bank of the Loire River in Montlouis-sur-Loire, Domaine François Chidaine stands as one of the Loire Valley's most respected producers of Chenin Blanc. The estate's modern winery is located in the village of Husseau, with vineyards stretching across three appellations: around 20 hectares in Montlouis-sur-Loire, 10 hectares in Vouvray (north of the river), and 7 hectares in the broader Touraine zone for reds, rosés, and Sauvignon Blanc—totaling about 37 hectares of biodynamically farmed land.
