Product Notes

The Frescobaldi Castello Nipozzano Vecchie Viti Chianti Rúfina Riserva DOCG is a splendid Italian wine. Befitting the historic Tuscan region, this wine exemplifies finesse and elegance. Boasting a vibrant ruby red hue, it showcases a robust, complex bouquet of ripe red fruits with spicy and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it reveals an impressive depth of flavour, a fine balance of tannins, and remarkable longevity. The careful oak aging imparts delightful vanilla and toasted notes, adding to the wine's sophistication. Truly, a bewitching testimony of Tuscany’s rich viticulture heritage.

Tasting Notes

A radiant ruby-red colour. Among the main descriptors, fruity notes begin with red and black berries, including raspberry, wild strawberry, black cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry. These are supported by sweet vanilla and rounded off with balsamic notes, pepper and cinnamon. The palate is well-rounded and sumptuously elegant; the alcohol and acidic content balance out perfectly. The after-taste is fruity with a hint of juniper berry. The mineral finish is long and juicy.
