Product Notes

Serègo Alighieri Vaio Armaron Amarone della Valpolicella is a distinguished Italian wine hailing from the heralded Valpolicella region. It boasts a robust, dark ruby colour and intoxicating aroma of intense berries interlaced with hints of balsamic and spicy vein. Savour the rich, full-bodied velvety texture, expressive of dark fruits, chocolate, and tobacco. The firm tannins and balanced acidity accompanying this wine make it a perfect pairing with hearty dishes or rich cheeses. With patient ageing, the Vaio Armaron Amarone reveals mellower spice sensations and enhanced complexity. Truly a testament to the vineyard's centuries-old wine craft.

Tasting Notes

An important Amarone with extraordinary power and complexity: a classic in the Italian winemaking portfolio. This is the icon wine of the historic Serego Alighieri estate and comes from the eponymous vineyard, the source it seems of the very name Amarone itself. Opaque ruby red. On the nose intense and elegant, with hints of fruit preserved in spirit, dried plums and cocoa. On the palate well-structured, well-balanced, with silky tannins and a long finish revealing ripe cherries and sweet spices.
