Product Notes

Yalumba Y Series Unwooded Chardonnay offers refreshing characteristics of a South Australian wine. This light-bodied Chardonnay exhibits hints of melon, peach, and lively citrus notes, coupled with delicate floral undertones. The palate is loaded with the richness of stone-fruits, balanced by a vivacious acidity, making it quite enjoyable. It’s an unwooded style, implying it hasn't been matured in oak barrels, presenting a crisp, fruit-forward profile. It's a delightful selection for those seeking a minimalist, young white wine, perfect for pairing with poultry dishes or sipping on a sunny afternoon. An affordable option for casual wine enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw with green hues. The aromatics show paw paw and mango with blossom notes and sweet spice. The wine has a savoury edge with flinty notes from the wild ferment. The palate is fine and creamy with a touch of nuttiness, evolving with zingy citrus notes, fresh mango and cream. A refreshing, lip smacking acidity gives this wine lovely length and the finish is savoury and textural.
