Product Notes

Yalumba Antique Tawny is an Australian port graced with an opulent character. It charms with a golden amber hue, exquisite aromas of dried fruit, caramel, and vanillin oak. The palate, impressively rich and silky, oozes mature and concentrated flavours of dried fig, espresso and toffee. With a delightful, lingering finish, this wine pairs wonderfully with nuts, desserts, or strong cheeses. Carefully nurtured for more than 15 years in oak barrels, Yalumba Antique Tawny embodies the tradition of Yalumba Winery, Australia's oldest family-owned winery, renowned for producing fine wines since 1849. Drinker beware, this tawny port is seriously addictive.

Tasting Notes

Amber tawny in colour with an olive green hue, exhibiting aromas of rich toffee and caramels, sweet figs, chocolate, caramel and licorice spices with elegant brandy spirit and hints of nutty wood aged complexity. The palate is richly flavoured featuring caramel crème brûlée with fine spirit characters and lingering flavours of dried fruits and nuts. The texture is sweet and smooth with roundness from the wood maturation and brandy spirit filling out the middle palate, providing the firm, drying finish. This is an outstanding dessert wine.
