Greco

Greco di Tufo is the name of the most important grape grown in the DOCG wine region located in Campania in Southern Italy, that shares the grapes name ‘Greco di Tufo’! This region produces white wine largely from this grape. Wines must contain a minimum of 85% Greco di Tufo grapes, and up to 15% Coda di Volpe Bianca. The Greco di Tufo grape is a clone of Greco Bianco.
The style of wine is very distinctive, and it is thought that the soil type (sulfar-and-tulfa rich volcanic and clay soils) impart a complex minerality.  The aromas and flavours are typically of lemons, pears and toasted almonds.
