About the Winery

La Bastide Blanche

Domaine de la Bastide Blanche is a family-run estate in the heart of Bandol, tucked into the limestone hills around Sainte-Anne du Castellet. Founded in the early 1970s by the Bronzo family, it remains in their hands today, led by Thomas Bronzo and a tightly knit cellar team.

The vineyards sit on terraced, clay-limestone slopes that face the sea, bathed by mistral winds and Mediterranean light. Mourvèdre is the backbone here, supported by Grenache, Cinsault and a little Syrah, while the whites draw on Clairette, Ugni Blanc and Bourboulenc. Farmed organically, the vines are low-yielding and carefully harvested by hand to preserve fruit purity and a sense of place.

In the winery, spontaneous fermentations, gentle extraction and long ageing in large old foudres shape Bandol reds of impressive depth, savour and structure. It's rosé is a benchmark: pale, vinous and gastronomic, with wild herb perfume and stony tension; the white is bright, saline and quietly complex. It’s a domaine that channels Bandol’s rugged beauty into bottles made to grace the table and evolve with time.

The estate’s reputation rests on exacting farming, patient élevage and a quietly confident team who prize clarity of flavour over fashion, vintage after vintage here.
