Product Notes

Artemis Karamolegos Pyritis Santorini Mega Cuvée Assyrtiko wine is a superlative Greek white wine native to the volcanic island of Santorini. Its vivid, intense character and complex bouquet deliver fresh citrus notes mingled with aromatic herbs and minerals. Grown in the unique Assyrtiko grape variety, it is well structured, full bodied with lively acidity that is wonderfully balanced by its mineral profile. This wine showcases a perfect harmony between freshness and maturity. Pairs deliciously with seafood, grilled white meats and salads. A marvellous representation of Santorini's winemaking heritage, it is unquestionably a wine of distinction and finesse.

About the Winery

Artemis Karamolegos

Artemis Karamolegos Winery is a continuation of the Artemis’s family tradition that started almost a century ago with the cultivation of local produce, Assyrtiko in particular, in Santorini. The first canava* was created by his grandfather in 1952 with the purpose of producing wine for home consumption. It was, however, Artemis’ innate love for the Santorini land and quest for preserving Santorini’s heritage, that realized in 2003 with the creation of his first wine at the premises of his new winery in Exo Gonia.
