About Château Sainte Marguerite

Château Sainte Marguerite is a leading estate in Provence, situated in the coastal appellation of La Londe-les-Maures, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea between Hyères and Saint-Tropez. The château was originally established in 1929 by André Chevillon, who named the property after his wife, Marguerite. Recognising the exceptional quality of its vineyards, the estate was awarded Cru Classé status in 1955, one of the highest distinctions in Provence. In 1977, the property was acquired by the Fayard family, who undertook extensive replanting and modernisation of the vineyards and winery. Under the leadership of Jean-Pierre and Olivier Fayard, Château Sainte Marguerite has grown into one of the region’s most respected producers while remaining committed to its family heritage and long-term vision.

The estate farms vineyards close to the Mediterranean, where schist-rich soils, abundant sunshine and cooling sea breezes create ideal conditions for producing wines of freshness and elegance. Château Sainte Marguerite has been certified organic since 1974 and is recognised as a pioneer of sustainable viticulture in Provence. While best known for its world-class rosé wines, the winery also produces refined white and red cuvées. Its portfolio includes the celebrated Fantastique, Symphonie and Marguerites en Provence ranges, wines distinguished by their purity, delicate aromatics, vibrant fruit character and strong sense of place. Today, Château Sainte Marguerite is regarded as one of Provence’s benchmark estates and a global ambassador for premium rosé wine.
