Tasting Note

A precise Chenin Blanc with lovely clarity and aromas of sea breezes, cooked lemon, and juniper with mineral and nutty tones. Rich and textured, with layers of ripe pear and apple complemented by a whisper of lanolin and a tangy finish.

Product Notes

Bodega Aleanna El Enemigo Chenin Blanc is a sensational Argentinian wine with a striking character. Its bouquet is enchantingly fresh and vibrant, teeming with aromas of white flowers, crisp apples and honeyed pears. As a brilliantly crafted old-vine Chenin Blanc, this wine captivates with its complex, layered palate, revealing tones of ripe peach, honey and subtle mineral notes. The finish is long, with a lingering subtle sweetness and poised acidity. This wine pairs wonderfully with seafood or creamy pasta dishes and offers an intriguing alternative for those seeking a break from standard Sauvignon or Chardonnay. Open a bottle for a delightful, sophisticated experience.

About the Winery

El Enemigo

El Enemigo was founded in 2010 by Adrianna Catena, daughter of Nicolás Catena Zapata, along with Alejandro Vigil, the award-winning head winemaker of Bodega Catena Zapata. The El Enemigo vineyards are located in the Piedemonte al Sur region of Mendoza, south of Luján de Cuyo, at high altitudes between 930 and 1,470 metres. El Enemigo was born from a desire to carve their own path and a shared obsession with terroir.
