About Morisfarms
MorisFarms is one of the pioneering estates of Tuscany’s coastal Maremma region, with roots dating back more than 200 years. The Moris family, originally from Spain, settled in southern Tuscany in the 19th century and gradually developed a large agricultural estate around Massa Marittima and Scansano. The modern winery took shape in the late 1970s when Adolfo Parentini married Caterina Moris and transformed the family business from bulk wine production into a quality-focused estate.
Today MorisFarms remains family owned, with vineyards spread across two key estates: Poggetti near Massa Marittima and Poggio La Mozza in Scansano. The proximity to the Tyrrhenian coast gives the wines freshness, minerality and a distinct Mediterranean character.
The winery is best known for Morellino di Scansano and the flagship Avvoltore, a Super Tuscan-style blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Alongside these, MorisFarms produces Vermentino, Ansonica, rosé and a range of Maremma Toscana wines that combine ripe fruit, coastal freshness and polished structure.
