Tasting Note

Aromatic and expressive, the nose reveals layers of dark cherry, wild raspberry and blueberry, complemented by delicate violet notes and a subtle thread of earthy minerality. The palate is vibrant and focused, with a pure, crunchy entry leading to a richly textured core of dark berry fruit. Fine-grained tannins provide structure and precision, while bright acidity brings freshness and lift. Concentrated yet refined, the wine finishes with impressive length, its ripe fruit, floral perfume and mineral nuances lingering gracefully on the palate.

Product Notes

Artadi Viñas de Gain is a connoisseur's treat, emanating from the heart of Spain's famed Rioja region. Cultivated in calcareous clay soil, the wine is created from hand-picked Tempranillo grapes, which are meticulously aged to perfection. The resultant wine exudes a striking ruby red colour, boasting aromas of ripe red fruit, interlaced with subtle hints of vanilla and spices. On tasting, flavours of cherry and raspberry reveal a complex palette marked by sweet tannins. Artadi Viñas de Gain leaves a lingering finish, transcending the ephemeral nature of usual reds, into a timeless, elegant classic.

About the Winery

Artadi

Located in the medieval hilltop town of Laguardia in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, Artadi is widely regarded as one of Spain’s most influential and prestigious wine estates. Founded in 1985 as a cooperative of local grape growers, the project was led from the outset by Juan Carlos López de Lacalle, whose vision helped transform the estate into a benchmark producer of terroir-driven wines. In 1992, the Lacalle y Laorden family assumed full control of the winery and continue to own and manage it today, with the fifth generation of the family now actively involved in the business.
