Tasting Note

With a magnificent vintage particularly favourable to Mourvèdre, the cuvée Hommage à Jacques Perrin, the quintessence of Château de Beaucastel, reaches its fullest expression. The wine displays a splendid deep, dark purple colour that borders on black. Exceptionally dense and powerful yet of exquisite elegance, the nose reveals remarkable aromatic complexity dominated by irresistible notes of black fruit enhanced by noble spices. Voluptuous, powerful and generous, the palate unfolds sumptuous flavours of blackcurrant and liquorice with a rich, silky texture and supple, finely crafted tannins beautifully balanced by the presence of Syrah and Grenache. Refined to the highest degree, the finish is admirably long. An exceptional year that elevates the elegant power of Hommage à Jacques Perrin.
