Tasting Note

A wine that is evolving remarkably well thanks to its fine acidic balance. There is a strong presence of candied fruit, complemented by menthol and apricot notes that bring a great deal of freshness to this vintage.

Product Notes

Château Guiraud Sauternes is a refined, full-bodied French wine heralding from the Bordeaux region. It is an ambient golden elixir, brimming with opulent fragrances of honey, caramel, and ripe peaches. On the palate, a bold interplay between sweetness and vibrant acidity offers notes of exotic fruit and zesty orange peel, leading into a lingering, sophisticated finish. Made from botrytised Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, it's an exquisitely balanced wine with well-structured complexity. Château Guiraud Sauternes is an iconic dessert wine, perfect for enjoying with rich, creamy cheeses or decadent sweet treats.

About the Winery

Château Guiraud

Founded in 1766, Château Guiraud is one of the most prestigious wine estates in Sauternes, located around 45 km south of Bordeaux in France's Graves wine region. The estate was recognised as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the historic 1855 Bordeaux Classification and today encompasses approximately 128 hectares of vineyards planted primarily to Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
