Tasting Note

This prime 1er Cru shows remarkable intensity and power. On the nose, aromas of candied lemon are married with subtle notes of toast and spice. On the palate, this wine is very persistent, with bright acidity, a lifted minerality and a lingering finish.

Product Notes

The Domaine Chevrot Maranges Blanc 1er Cru La Fussière is an exquisite white wine from the Maranges area of Burgundy, France. Noteworthy for its delicacy and balance, it provides exceptional depth of stone-fruit flavours, entwined with floral and citrus subtleties. Skilfully crafted from Chardonnay grapes grown organically, the produce reflects its terroir proudly. Its rich palate and robust aromatics fittingly underline the nuanced mineral undertones. The age-worthy wine offers a delectable finale, featuring fresh acidity and lingering complexity. A brilliant pairing with seafood dishes, it provides an elegant, refreshing, and full-bodied composition that registers sumptuously on the palate.

About the Winery

Domaine Chevrot

Located just 10 kilometres south of Puligny- and Chassagne-Montrachet, Maranges is increasingly recognised for its quality and value. Domaine Chevrot, recommended early on by Jane Eyre, is based in the heart of the appellation and run by brothers Pablo and Vincent Chevrot, who took over from their parents in 2007 after gaining experience in Bordeaux and Central Otago. Certified organic, the 19-hectare estate is farmed according to regenerative principles, with horse-drawn ploughing and the use of larger-format oak helping to refine the style. These efforts have established Domaine Chevrot as one of Maranges’ leading producers, earning two stars in La Revue du Vin de France’s 2024 guide.
