Tasting Note

It has intense and pungent flavors reminiscent of freshly cracked black peppercorns and wild herbs. The ripeness is contained, and the wine has a surprisingly low pH that provides very good freshness and a vibrant palate, more so given the very fine tannins and the tasty flavors that lift up the finish.

Product Notes

Bodega Aleanna El Enemigo Cabernet Franc is an exquisite Argentinian wine that impresses with its depth and complexity. This polished red features an enticing array of red fruit flavours with charming hints of smoke and spice. Its deeply concentrated palate radiates a harmonium of blackberry, plum, pepper and tobacco, underpinned by supple tannins. Matured in French oak barrels, it has a delightful, lingering finish that encapsulates its overall elegance. A testament to traditional winemaking techniques, this Cabernet Franc is alluring, robust, and a delightful companion for a cosy dinner or meaningful conversation.

About the Winery

El Enemigo

El Enemigo was founded in 2010 by Adrianna Catena, daughter of Nicolás Catena Zapata, along with Alejandro Vigil, the award-winning head winemaker of Bodega Catena Zapata. The El Enemigo vineyards are located in the Piedemonte al Sur region of Mendoza, south of Luján de Cuyo, at high altitudes between 930 and 1,470 metres. El Enemigo was born from a desire to carve their own path and a shared obsession with terroir.
