Beautiful aromas of blackberries, black walnuts and violets with hints of fresh tarragon. It’s medium-bodied with creamy, finely rounded tannins that lead you down to the end of the palate. Succulent and delicious at the finish

Product Notes

Bodega Aleanna Gran Enemigo Single Vineyard Chacayes is a distinctively expressive Argentinian wine. Produced by vineyard virtuosos, it unveils an evocative blend of Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The wine's profound purple hue emulates the impenetrable Chacayes terroir from which it emerges. It features a rich bouquet of fragrant violet, blackberry, dark cherry, and spicy oak, augmented by hints of cocoa and tobacco. On the palate, this carefully crafted ensemble presents a harmonious balance between firm tannins and tantalising acidity, delivering a lingering, velvety finish. This wine offers a potent testament to Argentinian viticulture - a rare delight for true wine connoisseurs.

About the Winery

El Enemigo

El Enemigo was founded in 2010 by Adrianna Catena, daughter of Nicolás Catena Zapata, along with Alejandro Vigil, the award-winning head winemaker of Bodega Catena Zapata. The El Enemigo vineyards are located in the Piedemonte al Sur region of Mendoza, south of Luján de Cuyo, at high altitudes between 930 and 1,470 metres. El Enemigo was born from a desire to carve their own path and a shared obsession with terroir.
