Tasting Note

Deep mahogany, almost opaque, with an intensely aromatic nose of raisins, dates, figs, dark caramel, maple and chocolate, complemented by subtle toasted and oxidative notes. The palate is extraordinarily rich and viscous, packed with concentrated dried fruit and caramel, yet balanced by refreshing acidity. Silky and mouth-filling, it finishes exceptionally long, with lingering flavours of dates, raisins and bitter chocolate.

Product Notes

The Emilio Hidalgo Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez is a remarkably indulgent Spanish dessert wine. It boasts an intense dark treacle colour with a powerfully rich and sticky taste. Notes of fig, dates, and molasses prevail on the palate with a hint of bitter dark chocolate. Despite its characteristically thick consistency, the wine showcases a delightful lightness that smoothly drapes over your tongue. This fuller-bodied magnificent gem is perfectly balanced, offering a complex, lingering finish. It's a decadent accompaniment to a string of sweet or savoury delights, making it an exquisite flamboyant showpiece in any wine connoisseur's collection.
