Product Notes

Tenuta Ulisse Amaranta Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is an esteemed Italian red wine, hailing from Abruzzo's renowned vineyards. This vintage offers a rich, full-bodied experience with a pristinely balanced profile. Sensuously aromatic, it teases with black cherry, plum, and tantalising spice notes on the nose. Upon tasting, the palate is seduced by deep layers of berry fruit, mocha, and soft tannins. The finish lingers, elegant and smooth. This Amaranta exudes a remarkable expression of the Montepulciano grape – a true testament to the winemaking prowess of Tenuta Ulisse. It's an unequaled companion to hearty dishes, reflecting the warmth and sophistication of Italian viticulture.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red with garnet reflections, intense and persistent fragrance; the bouquet is intense, fruity, persistent, with notes of dried flowers, spice, liquorice, marasca cherries. the palate is stylish, velvety, almost creamy, compact with tannic structure that blends nicely with the alcoholic component. Great structure, complex, elegant, well balanced with a long aftertaste. Opulent fruit.

About the Winery

Tenuta Ulisse

Nestled in the heart of Italy's renowned wine region, Abruzzo, is the world-class Tenuta Ulisse winery. A veritable emblem of commitment and dedication to excellence, this family-run winery has planted its roots in traditional wine-making practices, coupled with a refreshing modern touch.

The Ulisse family's passion for viticulture runs deep; their love for wine and the soil cultivated over a century ago. It's in 2006, when brothers Antonio and Luigi Ulisse embarked on a grand mission. They set out to express the matchless potential of native vines in the Abruzzo region. Thus, Tenuta Ulisse was born.

The winery covers over 55 hectares, interspersed with vines of Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, and a variety of international grape varietals. Each row nurtured meticulously; every vine lovingly cared for, to yield potent, flavourful grapes.

Innovative winemaking techniques are brought to bear in crafting their award-winning wines. Tenuta Ulisse boasts state-of-the-art facilities and a hi-tech wine production unit; where tradition unites with cutting-edge technology to create wines of international acclaim.

At Tenuta Ulisse, grapevines aren't just plants, they embody stories – stories of the land, of people, and of the year gone by. Each bottle of wine, therefore, offers not only a sublime burst of flavour and aroma but also a taste from the heart of Abruzzo. A triumph of quality that captivates the palate, and satisfies the soul.

Yet, it's not just about wine. Tenuta Ulisse vigorously upholds an ethos of sustainability. They actively minimise their environmental footprint, through water conservation, recycling efforts and solar energy utilisation.

In essence, Tenuta Ulisse is a fascinating tale of ambition, dedication-the sublime intertwining of man and nature, played out against the tranquil backdrop of rural Abruzzo. Every drop not only encapsulates the essence of a rich legacy and extraordinary winemaking prowess, it's but a tantalising invitation to a vibrant, sensorial experience. One can't help but revel in the intoxicating charm of Tenuta Ulisse wines'.
