Wine tasting notes

Aromas of tropical fruit (grapefruit, mango), mint, tomato leaf and white sambuco. Fresh and elegant with good acidity, wonderful mouthfeel and a long refreshing finish.

June 2015 - Green, grassy and intensely varietal, the 2013 Sauvignon is a benchmark example of Friuli Sauvignon. Green pear, smoke, slate and tomato leaf abound. Readers who like energetic, crisp Sauvignons will find much to like here. This is another terrific wine from Bastianich's Adriatico line. -- Antonio Galloni (2013)16 pts

Tasted June 2015 - Intense straw yellow. Immediate gooseberry and satsuma nose with a hint of breadcrumbs. Savoury, almost salty Sauvignon Blanc fruit with a lemony nerve. Has the lightness of an aperitif wine. Subdued finish loaded with minerals. (WS)

A lovely rich and juicy sauvignon with melon and lemon character. Full and round but with a soft mouthfeel. Friendly sauvignon. Drink now.
