Tasting Note

This is outstanding Chablis, that evokes its northern Burgundy origins with a fabulous sense of place. It displays the typical 'stony' character of the region, over which are layered exciting notes of white peach, apricot and chervil, thanks to the care and dedication in the vineyard and cellar of this top producer.

Product Notes

Domaine Louis Michel & Fils Chablis offers a pure, bright expression of the Chablis wine region in France. This elegant white wine bursts with notes of crisp apple, citrus, and flint, alongside a subtle hint of oceanic minerality typical of the Chablis terroir. Created by the esteemed Louis Michel family who practice organic viticulture and innovative winemaking techniques, the wine is well-structured with a balanced acidity. Unfettered by oak, it offers a refreshingly pure palate. An ideal accompaniment to seafood dishes, this Chablis is a testament to the winery's commitment to quality and tradition. Indulge in it for a refined drinking experience.

About the Winery

Founded in 1850, Domaine Louis Michel et Fils is one of the historic family estates of Chablis in northern Burgundy. Now led by the sixth generation, Guillaume Michel, the domaine remains entirely family owned and is renowned for producing some of the region's purest expressions of Chardonnay. The estate cultivates around 25 hectares of vineyards on the celebrated Kimmeridgian limestone soils surrounding Chablis, including holdings in prestigious Grand Cru vineyards such as Les Clos, Grenouilles and Vaudésir, as well as several highly regarded Premier Cru sites including Montée de Tonnerre, Butteaux, Forêts and Montmain.
