Tasting Note

Full and round, Grand Cru Vaudésir releases notes of rhubarb and acacia blossom. Fine and elegant on the palate with pronounced buttery and brioche notes suggesting a hint of coconut. This Grand Cru is unusually approachable and generous, even when young.

Product Notes

Domaine Louis Michel & Fils Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir is a sterling representation of a classic Chablis. Produced in the heart of Burgundy, this French white wine showcases the distinctive nuances of the Vaudésir region. It's a superbly crafted delight, carrying an impeccable balance of crisp fruitiness and minerality, with a profound undercurrent of zesty citrus and green apple notes. The wine boasts a rich texture, with an elegantly enduring finish that's a testament to its impressive ageing potential. This Grand Cru Vaudésir demonstrates assertive yet refined complexity, making it a stellar choice for any discerning connoisseur.

About the Winery

Founded in 1850, Domaine Louis Michel et Fils is one of the historic family estates of Chablis in northern Burgundy. Now led by the sixth generation, Guillaume Michel, the domaine remains entirely family owned and is renowned for producing some of the region's purest expressions of Chardonnay. The estate cultivates around 25 hectares of vineyards on the celebrated Kimmeridgian limestone soils surrounding Chablis, including holdings in prestigious Grand Cru vineyards such as Les Clos, Grenouilles and Vaudésir, as well as several highly regarded Premier Cru sites including Montée de Tonnerre, Butteaux, Forêts and Montmain.
