Tasting Note

Aromatic full-bodied sherry. It is mahogany in colour with a tawny hue (like a deep burnished brown) and has a fresh and elegant bouquet, as a result of its long maturation in oak casks and the harmonious passage of time. The elegance of this wine is due partly to the fact that it developed under flor before its oxidative development. Excellent with red meats, game birds, cured cheeses, stews and roast pork.

Product Notes

The Emilio Hidalgo Gobernador Oloroso wine is a spectacular expression of southern Spain's viticulture. Boasting a deep mahogany hue, its aroma is redolent with robust notes of toasted almonds, dried figs and elusive spices. On the palate, it presents an extraordinary balance of luscious dried fruit flavours, delicate salinity, and profound complexity indicative of its Oloroso style, resulting in a finish that is intriguingly lengthy and indulgent. Aged extensively following the traditional Solera system, this wine perfectly incorporates bold power with refined elegance, making it an exceptionally good pairing with game and mature cheese.
