Tasting Note

The wine is pale yellow with bright greenish reflections. The aromas are intense, ample and delicate, with hints of orange blossom and ripe apple. Dry on the palate, and mineral, with a pleasant acidity and an aromatic persistence of anise and almond on the finish. Serving temperature: 10°-12 °C.

Product Notes

Benanti Contrada Cavaliere Etna Bianco is a captivating Italian dry white wine produced on the volcanic soils of Mount Etna in Sicily. With a mesmerising golden hue, it offers a complex bouquet of white peach, citrus fruits, and flinty minerality. This elegant, structured wine reveals a remarkable balance between acidity and richness, enhancing its long, savoury finish. Aged in oak barrels, layers of complexity emerge in the form of subtle toasted notes, adding more depth to its earthy, mineral characteristics. Perfect to accompany sophisticated seafood dishes, it remains an exceptional representation of Etna's unique terroir.

About the Winery

Benanti

Benanti is one of the pioneering wineries of Mount Etna and has played a defining role in the revival of Sicily's fine wine industry. Although the Benanti family's roots in Sicily date back to 1734, the modern winery was established in 1988 by Giuseppe Benanti, whose vision was to demonstrate the exceptional potential of Etna's indigenous grape varieties and volcanic terroir. Today, the family-owned estate is managed by Giuseppe's sons, Antonio and Salvino Benanti, who continue to build on their father's legacy.
