Tasting Note

The wine is a pale yellow with bright greenish reflections. The aromas are intense, ample and rich, with an elegant bouquet featuring delicate hints of orange blossom and ripe apple. On the palate, the wine continues with a refined balance between softness and acidity, the latter expressed through a savory freshness, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by notes of anise, citrus, and almond. Serving temperature: 10°-12 °C.

Product Notes

Benanti Contrada Monte Serra Etna Bianco is a stunning Italian white wine, boasting an exquisite blend of flavours, embodying the volcanic terrain of Sicily's Mount Etna. It has a radiant straw-yellow hue presenting an aromatic nose of ripe citrus, white blossoms, and undertones of minerality. Your palate is beseeched by a thrilling acidity, combined successfully with a concentrated, flavourful depth. This enchanting wine encapsulates lively notes of lemon zest, green apple, and a subtle honeyed finish. Aged for 10 months in barriques and steel tanks, this sophisticated wine is a captivating and refined expression of Carricante grapes from Sicily.

About the Winery

Benanti

Benanti is one of the pioneering wineries of Mount Etna and has played a defining role in the revival of Sicily's fine wine industry. Although the Benanti family's roots in Sicily date back to 1734, the modern winery was established in 1988 by Giuseppe Benanti, whose vision was to demonstrate the exceptional potential of Etna's indigenous grape varieties and volcanic terroir. Today, the family-owned estate is managed by Giuseppe's sons, Antonio and Salvino Benanti, who continue to build on their father's legacy.
