On the nose, Maranges 'Sur le Chêne' rouge offers delicious notes of bramble and red cherries with a touch of smokiness. The palate is smooth, with nice depth of fruit supported by ripe tannins, ending on a round and savoury finish.

Product Notes

Domaine Chevrot Maranges Rouge Sur le Chêne is a premium French red wine hailing from the prestigious Burgundy region. This exceptional wine offers a remarkable blend of flavours with notes of ripe berries, earthy undertones, and complex spice nuances. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, it is well-rounded with a vibrant ruby colour. Its profound depth and balanced structure reveal an impressive palate with a smooth, lingering finish. About the Winery

Domaine Chevrot

Located just 10 kilometres south of Puligny- and Chassagne-Montrachet, Maranges is increasingly recognised for its quality and value. Domaine Chevrot, recommended early on by Jane Eyre, is based in the heart of the appellation and run by brothers Pablo and Vincent Chevrot, who took over from their parents in 2007 after gaining experience in Bordeaux and Central Otago. Certified organic, the 19-hectare estate is farmed according to regenerative principles, with horse-drawn ploughing and the use of larger-format oak helping to refine the style. These efforts have established Domaine Chevrot as one of Maranges’ leading producers, earning two stars in La Revue du Vin de France’s 2024 guide.
