Tasting Note

'Le Grand Lys' is richer and more complex than many wines from this appellation. It has lovely concentrated flavours of white fruits, sweet pastries and toasted almonds. On the palate it has crisp, refreshing acidity and a delicate mousse.

About the Winery

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard has been led by Caroline Lestimé, Jean-Noël’s daughter, since 1989. The 12.5-hectare estate has been certified organic since 2014 and is also farmed according to biodynamic principles. Most vineyards lie in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, with an additional site, Clos Bortier, in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, planted in 2015 just above Saint-Aubin.
