Tasting Note

A bright delicate ruby red, which often describes our Riserva. Fine and elegant at the nose, with earthy and iron notes, which perfectly translate the soil of this special plot of land. 2019 is the outcome of a vintage of balance and richness, such characteristics become obvious in the palate where tannins appear to be silky and available, thus demonstrating an energy that will allow this wine to feel ready now, but that will also benefit from longer time in the bottle.

Product Notes

Podere le Ripi Lupi e Sirene Riserva Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a distinguished Italian wine exemplifying the finest level of vinification skills. Harvested on the sun-kissed slopes of Tuscany, this wine possesses an opulent, full-bodied character. A sensual nose of ripe cherries, wild berries, and oaky undertones promises a complex experience. Each sip offers a delightful balance of tannins, acidity, and layered depth of flavours, culminating in a grand finish that lingers on the palate. This vintage pairs wonderfully with robust meaty dishes. Its refined, classic packaging further enhances its allure, promising an exquisite dining experience.

About the Winery

Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, Podere Le Ripi has become one of Montalcino’s most distinctive biodynamic estates. The winery was founded in 1998 by Francesco Illy, heir to the famous Illy coffee family, after he fell in love with the wild landscape surrounding Montalcino while working as a nature photographer. What began as a personal dream slowly evolved into a serious wine project centred on sustainability, biodiversity and low-intervention farming.
