Tasting Note

Cielo d’Ulisse 2020 is a wonderful expression of site. Balanced and enjoyable in both texture and taste, the juiciness of the fruit integrates perfectly with a gentle embrace of tannins. The low-yielding vintage has delivered a captivating and intriguing wine with great ageing potential.

Product Notes

Podere Le Ripi Cielo d'Ulisse Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a magnificent Italian wine celebrated for its rich, full bodied flavour. Emanating from the prestigious Tuscan region, it combines a sumptuous bouquet of dark fruits, leather and spices. Maturing at least five years before release, it delivers a harmonious balance of depth and complexity. This organic and biodynamic wine hosts a silky texture and an impressive, lingering finish. Renowned for its exceptional ageing potential, this Brunello di Montalcino wine is ideal to savour on a special occasion or as an exclusive gift. A testament to fine Italian viticulture.

About the Winery

Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, Podere Le Ripi has become one of Montalcino’s most distinctive biodynamic estates. The winery was founded in 1998 by Francesco Illy, heir to the famous Illy coffee family, after he fell in love with the wild landscape surrounding Montalcino while working as a nature photographer. What began as a personal dream slowly evolved into a serious wine project centred on sustainability, biodiversity and low-intervention farming.
