Tasting Note

A full dry, yet smooth and rich wine, on the nose this is intense, harmonious, delicate, with pleasant scent of apricot, honey, dried fruit and dates. Dry in the mouth, round with bitter almonds, smoked vanilla with long persistence.

Product Notes

Rallo Soleras 20 Year Old Marsala wine from Sicily presents an enchanting fusion of tradition and mystery. It boasts a captivating amber hue with rich, intense flavours of candied fruits and honey, followed by aromatic traces of vanilla and aged timber. The full-bodied wine delivers a smooth, homely warmth underpinned by a thrilling crescendo of spice finish. This superbly aged Marsala wine, crafted from Grillo grapes, embodies an enduring winemaking legacy. Bestowed with an unmistakeable personality by the Soleras aging technique, it partners incredibly well with mature cheeses, creating a sublime gastronomic experience.

About the Winery

Founded in 1860, Rallo is one of Sicily’s historic family-owned wine estates, with roots deeply connected to the island’s long viticultural tradition. Established by the Rallo family in the western part of Sicily, the winery has remained under family ownership for more than five generations and today is managed by siblings José and Antonio Vesco, descendants of the founding family. The estate is headquartered near Marsala in western Sicily, an area historically associated with fortified wine production but now increasingly recognised for high-quality modern Sicilian wines.
