Tasting Note

Intense ruby red in colour, the nose boasts notes of black cherry, violets and roses, dark and sweet spices, tobacco and black pepper. On the palate this wine is solid and deep, full bodied, with velvety tannins. The finish is long, balanced and rich.

Product Notes

Tenuta Valdipiatta Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a refined wine steeped in Tuscan tradition. This Italian gem encompasses notes of plump, ripe cherries and fragrant violets, balanced with rich spicy tones of cinnamon and cloves, hinting at its time spent in Slovenian oak barrels. Dry, yet beautifully velvety, it carries a robust acidity, effortlessly marrying with a hearty tannic structure to provide an exquisite drinking experience. Hailing from the prestigious Montepulciano region, this elegant wine is a tribute to both its historical terroir and the dedicated artisans who craft it. Feasting on the vibrant jammy nuances will surely impress any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Tenuta Valdipiatta

Tenuta Valdipiatta, in the heart of the Vino Nobile zone, is run by Miriam Caporali, who took over from her father, Giulio Caporali, in 2002. Giulio originally purchased the Montepulciano estate at the end of the 1980s. In 2010, Miriam brought in top Bordeaux oenologist Eric Boissenot, who also consults for Châteaux Lafite, Latour, Margaux and Palmer, to aid the winemaking process.
