Tasting Note

The colour is pale yellow with greenish nuances. The nose is intense, rich, complex, ample and mildly fruity, with notes of orange blossom flowers and ripe apple. The palate is dry and mineral, with a pleasantly high acidity, saline notes, a marked aromatic persistence and an after taste reminiscent of anise and almond.

Product Notes

Benanti Pietra Marina Etna Bianco Superiore is a magnificent Sicilian wine commanding admiration. This wine, produced with Carricante grape, emits bewitching aromas of pear, citrus, and honey balanced with a distinct herbal note. The volcanic soil of Mount Etna lends an enticing minerality, adding complexity. On the palate, it expresses a vibrant acidity equally matched by an intense, lingering flavour. Aged perfectly in the bottle, its nuanced elegance and depth truly shine through. An ideal accompaniment to seafood dishes, it's the embodiment of quality Italian winemaking. Benanti Pietra Marina Etna Bianco Superiore is indeed an indulgent experience for any wine connoisseur.

About the Winery

Benanti is one of the pioneering wineries of Mount Etna and has played a defining role in the revival of Sicily's fine wine industry. Although the Benanti family's roots in Sicily date back to 1734, the modern winery was established in 1988 by Giuseppe Benanti, whose vision was to demonstrate the exceptional potential of Etna's indigenous grape varieties and volcanic terroir. Today, the family-owned estate is managed by Giuseppe's sons, Antonio and Salvino Benanti, who continue to build on their father's legacy.
