Tasting Note

Deep ruby red with amber tints. On the nose there is an intense smell of cherry, strawberry, and violet allied to a fresh balsamic note of herbs. The palate has an impressive, broad structure that reveals a great minerality and a finish.

Product Notes

Podere Le Ripi Sogni e Follia Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a superb Italian red wine of exceptionally distinct Tuscan character. Produced in the heart of Montalcino, Tuscany, this wine sparkles with a compelling blend of Sangiovese grapes, yielding a rich and intense taste profile. A sip reveals harmonious layers of ripe red fruit, warm spices and delicate undertones of oak, a testament to its meticulous ageing process. The elegant harmony is maintained from the first scent to the long finish, giving the wine a profound complexity and unforgettable appeal. A true masterpiece worthy of any connoisseur's collection.

About the Winery

Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, Podere Le Ripi has become one of Montalcino’s most distinctive biodynamic estates. The winery was founded in 1998 by Francesco Illy, heir to the famous Illy coffee family, after he fell in love with the wild landscape surrounding Montalcino while working as a nature photographer. What began as a personal dream slowly evolved into a serious wine project centred on sustainability, biodiversity and low-intervention farming.
