Tasting Note

Deep red in colour, it presents on the nose with intense aromas of marasca cherry, blueberry and currants followed by notes of liquorice and toasting. Rich, round and smooth on the palate with chocolatey tannins, well-balanced and persistent.

Product Notes

Villa Borghetti Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is a truly exquisite Italian wine perfect for any refined dinner party. It boasts a rich, deep ruby colour, hinting at its elegant full-bodied nature. Luxurious flavours of dark cherry, ripe plum, and a dash of spice tantalise the palate. This Ripasso undergoes a unique double fermentation process, lending complexity and depth. The finish is long and balanced, marked by subtle tannins and a whisper of vanilla. A glass of Villa Borghetti Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore elevates any meal, ideal for pairing with hearty meats or robust cheeses. A delight for the discerning wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine is one of the historic wine families of northern Italy, with roots dating back to 1925 when the Pasqua brothers moved to Verona and began trading wines from their native Puglia before establishing their own winery. Today the company remains family-owned, led by the third generation of the Pasqua family, and has grown into one of the leading private wine producers in Veneto.
