Tasting Note

This wine feels full and compact but at the same time it's slender and with a nice minerality, the result from growing on white marn, soil which reins over the south east side of Montalcino. In the nose, it expresses itself as a symphony of balanced aromas ranging from the intense smell of red-oranges and fresh mediterrean herbs. Each sip is rich, juicy and dynamic, intriguing and fun, telling the story of a wine that with time will show many interesting sides of its personality.

Product Notes

Podere Le Ripi Amore e Magia Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a stellar Italian wine from the idyllic region of Tuscany. Lovingly cultivated, this red wine exhibits grand depth and richness, presenting sensuous layers of dark cherry and botanical herbs. The striking balance of firm tannins and gentle acidity imbues an intelligent impression in every sip. Aged in superior wooden casks, it carries the divinaceous scent of toasted oak and spice. This wine is an epitome of reflection, expressing centuries-old traditions of Montalcino's wine-making, a reason why connoisseurs are captivated by its mesmerising allure and magic. A truly sophisticated drop for special occasions.

About the Winery

Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, Podere Le Ripi has become one of Montalcino’s most distinctive biodynamic estates. The winery was founded in 1998 by Francesco Illy, heir to the famous Illy coffee family, after he fell in love with the wild landscape surrounding Montalcino while working as a nature photographer. What began as a personal dream slowly evolved into a serious wine project centred on sustainability, biodiversity and low-intervention farming.
