Tasting Note

The colour is pale ruby with garnet nuances. Lofty aromas of red fruits and spices are complemented by similar characteristics on the palate, which is dry and medium- to full-bodied, with smoother tannins, and a persistent, harmonious finish. Serving temperature: 18 – 19°C

Product Notes

The Benanti Contrada Monte Serra Etna Rosso is a delightful Sicilian vino from the slopes of Mount Etna. This ruby-hued beauty exudes robust flavours of rich dark fruits, accented with delicate notes of smoke and exotic spice. The complex acidity, underpinned by a tempered mineral sharpness, produces a truly balanced experience. Indicative of the volcanic soils where the vines grow, this wine delivers a bright, intense palate with a gracefully prolonged finish. A customary partner to red meats or richly sauced dishes, it is an exceptional demonstration of Italy’s finest viticulture. Crack open a bottle to experience a truly charismatic Italian marvel.

About the Winery

Benanti

Benanti is one of the pioneering wineries of Mount Etna and has played a defining role in the revival of Sicily's fine wine industry. Although the Benanti family's roots in Sicily date back to 1734, the modern winery was established in 1988 by Giuseppe Benanti, whose vision was to demonstrate the exceptional potential of Etna's indigenous grape varieties and volcanic terroir. Today, the family-owned estate is managed by Giuseppe's sons, Antonio and Salvino Benanti, who continue to build on their father's legacy.
