Tasting Note

The wine has a pink/salmon colour. The nose is intense, delicate, floral with hints of broom, fruity with hints of blackberry and cherry. The palate is dry, fresh, saline and mineral, lightly tannic and with a distinct aromatic persistence of red fruit notes.

Benanti Etna Rosato is a distinguished Sicilian wine, crafted from Nerello Mascalese grape varietal on the sun-drenched slopes of Mount Etna. This genteel rosé displays a discreet salmon pink hue, with inviting aromas of wild strawberries and delicate floral notes. A dry damask akin to European elegance in a glass, it enthralls the palate with crisp minerality, succulent red fruit flavours and a refreshing acidity. Matured in stainless steel vats, it retains an ethereal freshness and balanced complexity. This elegant rosé is a marvellous companion to seafood dishes and summer salads. Britain's fine wine connoisseurs will undoubtedly cherish it.

About the Winery

Benanti

Benanti is one of the pioneering wineries of Mount Etna and has played a defining role in the revival of Sicily's fine wine industry. Although the Benanti family's roots in Sicily date back to 1734, the modern winery was established in 1988 by Giuseppe Benanti, whose vision was to demonstrate the exceptional potential of Etna's indigenous grape varieties and volcanic terroir. Today, the family-owned estate is managed by Giuseppe's sons, Antonio and Salvino Benanti, who continue to build on their father's legacy.
